On November 27, 2022, at approximately 1:15 a.m., Lake Havasu City Police Officers were dispatched to the 2000 block of Swanson Avenue for a report of a single gunshot fired inside an establishment. Upon the officer’s arrival, it was determined that a group of individuals had caused a disturbance inside the establishment. One of the individuals proclaimed that an Outlaw Motorcycle Gang was present and became unruly, at which time they were asked to leave by management.

On November 29, 2022, at approximately 3:50 p.m. Officers with the Lake Havasu City Police Department were dispatched to the 5600 block of Highway 95 North for a reported kidnapping in progress. The reporting party advised that a male suspect had physically removed a female victim from an establishment causing bodily injury. The male led the female out to the parking lot where he forcefully placed the female into a small black vehicle and drove away at a high rate of speed. The vehicle left on Highway 95 northbound and drove into the desert near mile marker 191, at which time the female managed to exit the vehicle and run back toward the highway. The male began pursuing her on foot and managed to catch up to her alongside the highway, at which time officers arrived on the scene. The male suspect was then taken into custody without incident.

At approximately 11:30 am on Wednesday, November, 23, 2022, a fire was reported in the 1200 block of Park Terrace Ave. Neighbors discovered a motorhome on fire next to the residence. Neighbors alerted the occupants and the occupants evacuated the residence. The first arriving fire company reported a fully engulfed motorhome less than 5 ft. from the residence.

Lake Havasu City Transit is now offering “The Express” route to Walmart starting today and goes through the end of December 2022.

The entire community is cordially invited to attend the 19th Annual Free Community Dinner on Friday, December 9, at the Aquatic/Community Center. The team is offering two different serving times again: Early Bird serving at 4:00pm, (doors open at 3:30) and the 2nd serving at 6:00pm, (doors open at 5:45). Lake Havasu City is pleased to announce the selection of Troy Stirling as the City’s next Police Chief. Lake Havasu City Police Captain Stirling succeeds Chief Dan Doyle, who is retiring on Friday, December 16, after a 16-year stellar career with the Lake Havasu City Police Department.

At approximately 10:45 am on Tuesday, November 15, 2022, a fire was reported by the building owner in the 1100 block of Red Rock Road which is located outside of the Lake Havasu City limits. The occupants discovered a fire in the garage area and evacuated the building. The first arriving fire company reported heavy smoke and fire in the large garage area which included a residence on the South side of the building.
