Pickleball is one of the fastest growing sports in the country and is gaining speed internationally. Pickleball is a paddle sport that can be played by people of all ages and skill levels; it is a fun sport combining many elements of tennis, badminton and ping-pong all into one sport. A Pickleball court is the same size as a doubles badminton court and uses a pickleboard paddle (smaller than a tennis racquet but larger than a ping-pong paddle) and a plastic ball similar to that of wiffleball (with holes through it).
Dick Samp Memorial Park offers four pickleball courts that are currently designed for daytime play and players are encouraged to bring their own seating and pickleball equipment. This location has public bathrooms and a nearby drinking fountain.
The Aquatic Center also offers four pickleball courts during scheduled times of play. Cost is $3.00 per player; per session of play. Participants under the age of 18 must have a parent/legal guardian present to sign them in.
