Lake Havasu City has owned and operated a Weed Harvester boat for the past 20+ years, started by Dick Samp. It is a large pontoon boat that has retractable underwater shears that cut the submerged weeds at a depth of up to 5’-6’ from the surface. It then loads them on to the boat to be offloaded onto shore and hauled off.
