HELP CENTER

Lake Havasu City applies for grants from the State of Arizona for various services for the citizens of our community. Each of the grants may have different requirements. Below are brief descriptions of our current grants and what activities are appropriate:

  • Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) - Currently being used for owner occupied housing rehabilitation including health and safety repairs. This is a grant and does not have to be repaid. Applications are also available in the lobby at City Hall.

  • State Special Projects Grant (SSP) - Currently being used for owner occupied housing rehabilitation including health and safety repairs. This is a grant and does not have to be repaid. Applications are also available in the lobby at City Hall.

Lake Havasu City is looking for low-income homeowners who wish to have health & safety-related repairs made to their home. Applicants will be placed on a waiting list only if the following minimum requirements are met:

  • You must meet income qualifications (see income guidelines below).
  • Your property must be located within city limits.
  • You must own and occupy your home.
  • You must be current with your mortgage, property taxes, water bill and sewer loan.
  • You must have homeowners insurance.
  • Title to the home cannot be in a trust.

Income guidelines: (This is the allowable income for the entire household)

  • 1 person - $27,800
  • 2 persons - $31,800
  • 3 persons - $35,750
  • 4 persons - $39,700
  • 5 persons - $42,900
  • 6 persons - $46,100
  • 7 persons - $49,250
WHAT TYPE OF REPAIRS CAN BE DONE?

Health or safety-related repairs (examples include roof replacement, A/C replacement, weatherization, etc.)

WHEN AND WHERE DO I APPLY?

Applications may be picked up at City Hall, Monday through Friday, 8 am to 5 pm or download the form above. Completed applications are accepted on an ongoing basis. Please call Holly Morin, Grants Administrator, with any questions about this grant.
