MEET YOUR CITY COUNCIL

Lake Havasu City operates under the council-manager form of government. The Mayor and six members of the City Council are elected at large to overlapping terms of four years. The City Council is the legislative body responsible for the overall policies and direction of the City. The City operates under general law and the constitution and laws of the State of Arizona.

The Mayor shall preside at all meetings of the Council and shall be recognized as head of the City government for service of process, ceremonial matters, and the signature or execution of ordinances, contracts, deeds, bonds, and other instruments and documents. The Mayor shall have no administrative duties other than those necessary to accomplish these actions, or such other actions as may be authorized by the City Council, consistent with general or special law.

All the powers of the City and the determination of all matters of policy shall be invested in Council. The City Council may, by ordinance or resolution, prescribe the manner in which any power of said City shall be exercised.

Married 38 years to Eileen. One son, Jonathan, who lives in Roseville, California. Jonathan is also a certified public accountant. Eileen and Mark enjoy playing golf with friends and spending time with their dogs.

Jeni Coke

Personal:  Jeni was born and raised in rural Nebraska.  Jeni and husband Corey have been married 15 years.  They relocated to Lake Havasu City in 2001.  They have one daughter, Taylor who is a 2014 graduate of Lake Havasu High School.  Corey and Jeni enjoy off-roading with friends, NASCAR and College Football.

Now, newly married to James "Kim" McCoy, a member of the Marine Corps League of Lake Havasu City, she enjoys spending time with her friends and family and traveling on her free-time.

Cal Sheehy is a longtime Lake Havasu City resident.  Cal is originally from Michigan and moved to Lake Havasu City his sophomore year of high school with his family.  Cal enjoys all the outdoor recreation Lake Havasu City has to offer and can be seen hiking, boating, and off-roading.  Cal also enjoys traveling and spending time with family and friends.

David Lane
COUNCIL MEMBER DAVID LANE

PERSONAL

David was born and raised in Northern California.  After high school, he enlisted as a military policeman in the United States Air Force.  Upon successful completion of his military duty, he was hired by the California Highway Patrol.  He and wife Stephanie moved to Lake Havasu when he was assigned as the Commander of the California Highway Patrol office in Needles, California.  They grew to love this community so retired and made Lake Havasu City their permanent home.  They have four children, one lives here in Lake Havasu City, two in California, and one in Washington State.  They have four grandchildren, two here and two in California.

Michele Lin

I have lived in Lake Havasu, AZ for a little over 15 years. I have been married to My husband Wei Lin for twenty years. We are raising five children Kaden (15), Chen (14), Mei-Mei (11), and twin girls Iley and Amiya (6). We own and operate three Chinese Restaurants in Mohave county, two of which are located in Lake Havasu, the third location is in Kingman. I enjoy vacationing with my family at the ocean beaches, or taking an occasional Carnival Cruise.

Gordon and his wife Martha have been married for twenty years. They have a daughter Nancy who is a graduate of Lake Havasu High School; she is currently attending Arizona State University. The Groat family planted their roots in Lake Havasu back in 1980. Gordon and his family enjoy our river lifestyle, outdoor sports, arts, sciences, and international travel.
