Lake Havasu City Parks and Recreation Department and Lake Havasu “Rocks!” invites the public to a ceremony to celebrate the reveal of Rockette the Rock Snake this Saturday, November 9, at 9:00 a.m. at the SARA Park Trailhead.

Lake Havasu City honors our Veterans on Monday, November 11, by joining VFW Post #9401 at their Annual Veterans Day Parade and ceremony to pay tribute to the men and women who have bravely served our nation in the United States Armed Forces. The parade begins at 9:00 a.m., routed along McCulloch Boulevard with a temporary road closure on McCulloch Boulevard from Acoma Boulevard to Capri Boulevard from 7:00 a.m. to approximately 11:00 a.m.

On October 30, 2024, at approximately 1:00 p.m., officers from the Lake Havasu City Police Department responded to a single-vehicle accident at the intersection of McCulloch Boulevard North and Daytona Avenue. Upon arrival, officers discovered that the driver, the sole occupant of a 2015 Nissan Versa, was traveling eastbound on McCulloch Boulevard North when the vehicle veered off the roadway, struck a mailbox, and subsequently collided with a wall. The male driver was found unconscious at the scene.

Detectives from the Lake Havasu City Police Department’s Special Investigations Unit, which is part of the Mohave Area General Narcotics Enforcement Team (MAGNET), have been investigating a subject selling methamphetamine throughout Lake Havasu City.

On October 27, 2024, at approximately 1:12 a.m., Ryne Santos, a 30-year-old Las Vegas, Nevada resident, was arrested for knowingly removing and defacing a political sign, criminal littering, and disorderly conduct near State Route 95 and Acoma Boulevard West after he was observed removing numerous political signs, breaking them with his hands, and scattering them across the highway. A witness confronted Ryne, and he attempted to provoke a physical confrontation after being told that removing signs was illegal.

The Lake Havasu City Police Department will be conducting traffic and DUI enforcement on Thursday, October 31, through Friday, November 1, 2024, for the Halloween celebration. Officers will provide enhanced traffic and DUI enforcement during this time from a grant awarded by the Arizona Governor’s Office of Highway Safety. The Lake Havasu City Police Department wants to remind everyone to celebrate responsibly. Motorists should follow Arizona’s traffic and vehicle regulations, be aware of pedestrians crossing the roadways, and drive at slower speeds in high pedestrian traffic areas.

A temporary road closure on Riviera Drive from Mesquite Avenue to Pima Drive is required for Public Works Infrastructure Improvements on Wednesday, October 30, from 6:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
