Lake Havasu City announces upcoming water and paving improvements at Smoketree Avenue North. To facilitate the work, a temporary road closure is in effect on Mesquite Avenue from Smoketree Avenue to Riviera Drive on Monday, March 3 through April 11, from 6:00 a.m. through 4:00 p.m. daily.

To ensure the safety of participants and the community, McCulloch Boulevard is temporarily closed to traffic for the Havasu Deuces special event on Thursday, February 27, from 9:00 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. The closure affects the section between Mulberry Avenue and Smoketree Avenue.

At approximately 2:45 PM on Friday, February 21, 2025, a neighbor in the 2600 block of McCulloch Boulevard North reported the sound of a smoke alarm and visible smoke coming from an apartment. Upon arrival, the Battalion Chief observed smoke but no visible flames inside the apartment. Four engine companies, one medic unit, and a Battalion Chief responded to the scene, successfully bringing the fire under control within five minutes. There were no reported injuries. Crews remained on scene for an additional hour to conduct salvage operations. The cause of the fire is currently under investigation.

Lake Havasu City Public Works Department announces an upcoming road closure at Smoketree Avenue to facilitate necessary milling and paving activities for recent water infrastructure improvements. The closure is scheduled at Smoketree Avenue and Poplar Avenue and Smoketree Avenue and Ash Avenue on Wednesday, February 19, starting at 7:00 a.m. and ending at 1:00 p.m. A detour is in place, and traffic is rerouted via Saguaro Drive, Columbine Drive, and then to Cliffrose Drive.

Lake Havasu City administrative offices are closed on Monday, February 17, during the Presidents’ Day Holiday. However, the Aquatic Center is open, and police, fire, and trash collection services remain unaffected. City offices resume normal operations on Tuesday, February 18, 2025.

Lake Havasu City is pleased to invite the public to celebrate the one-year anniversary of the Municipal Courthouse, marking its first full year of operation. The event starts at 5:00 p.m. today in the City Council Chambers of the Municipal Courthouse at 92 Acoma Boulevard South.

Dylan Dog Park is closed during the Western Pyrotechnic Association Winterblast beginning February 12, 2025, and continuing through February 18, 2025. Residents and visitors are encouraged to use the Lion’s Dog Park located at 1340 McCulloch Boulevard or the Avalon Dog Park located at 1294 Avalon Avenue during this time.
