Boo Bash will take place on Monday, October 31st from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. in the Relics & Rods Hall at the Aquatic Center. There will be bobbing for donuts, bounce house, crafts, games and fun to be had. This is a FREE, indoor event.

On October 22, 2022, at approximately 6:00 p.m., officers from the Lake Havasu City Police Department arrested Lake Havasu City resident Jason Fontes (44) without incident in the 3700 block of Solar Dr. His arrest was related to his involvement in a domestic violence incident that occurred on October 20, 2022.

On October 19, 2022, at approximately 4:32 p.m., the Lake Havasu City Police Department’s SWAT team and the Special Investigations Unit served a search warrant in the 1100 block of S. McCulloch Blvd. During the search, detectives seized approximately 120 fentanyl pills, several Suboxone patches, 15.9 grams of cocaine, methamphetamine, two firearms, and $2,000 in cash.

At approximately 8:15 p.m. on Tuesday, October 11, 2022, a fire was reported by the homeowner in the 3700 block of Chiricahua Drive. The occupants discovered a fire in their garage and evacuated the residence. The first arriving fire company reported a well involved garage fire. Four Engine Companies, one Truck Company, and a Battalion Chief responded to the fire and gained control of the fire in twenty eight minutes. The occupants evacuated the house safely. There were no reported injuries to the firefighters. LHCFD CERT responded with several members to the fire to assist with Rehab duties for the firefighters. Crews remained on the scene additional two hours conducting salvage operations. The cause of the fire is under investigation.

Lake Havasu City is launching a Community Resource Program that injects up to one million dollars in ARPA allocation for non-profits and public service organizations. This program is to support local organizations in the areas of food, housing, medical services, agency services, childcare, senior adult care, senior services, or other social services. City Council established the Lake Havasu City Community Resource Coalition (Coalition) to develop a community resources request and evaluation process to evaluate funding requests received and to recommend beneficiaries of funding distributions to the City Council.

Detectives from the Lake Havasu City Police Department’s Special Investigations Unit, which is part of the Mohave Area General Narcotics Enforcement Team (MAGNET), have been investigating a couple who were residing in Lake Havasu City selling quantities of methamphetamine throughout Mohave County, Arizona.

At approximately 10:30pm on Thursday, September 29th, 2022, a fire was reported by neighbors in the 2900 block of Anita Drive. The neighbors discovered heavy flames to the rear of the residence with heavy smoke and notified the occupants. They were safely removed from the occupancy with the assistance of bystanders along with eight dogs. The first arriving fire company reported defensive fire conditions to two adjacent mobile homes with heavy smoke and fire. Four Engine Companies, one Truck Company, and a Battalion Chief responded to the fire and gained control of the fire in approximately 45 minutes. There were no occupants in one of the mobile homes and the occupants of the other mobile home were safely removed prior to the arrival of fire units. There was one reported minor injury to a firefighter. Several members of LHCFD CERT responded to the fire to assist with Rehab duties for the firefighters. Desert Hills Fire Department moved up to Lake Havasu City to assist with other 911 calls during the incident. Crews remained on the scene throughout the evening conducting salvage operations. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
