On Monday, June 13, 2022, at approximately 7:55 a.m., officers with the Lake Havasu City Police Department responded to a single-vehicle crash in the 2800 block of McCulloch Blvd North. During the investigation it was determined that a 2004 Chevy Astro van was traveling westbound on McCulloch Boulevard North in the 2800 block and for an unknown reason, the vehicle drifted to the right leaving the roadway and struck a palm tree.

At approximately 11:00 p.m. on Wednesday, June 8, 2022, a fire was reported by the homeowner in the 3200 block of Silver Saddle Dr. The occupants discovered smoke in the garage and evacuated the residence. The first arriving fire company reported smoke and fire coming from the garage door. Four Engine Companies, one Truck Company, one Medic unit, and a Battalion Chief responded to the fire and gained control of the fire in 30 minutes. The occupants evacuated the house safely, and fire crews extricated a dog from the residence that had no injuries. There were no reported injuries to the firefighters. CERT responded to the fire to assist with Rehab duties for the firefighters. Crews remained on the scene an additional hour conducting salvage operations. The cause of the fire is under investigation.

On June 8, 2022, at 1:07 p.m., Lake Havasu City Police officers responded to the area of Acoma Blvd. and Mesquite Ave. in Lake Havasu City, Arizona, in reference to a road rage incident involving a firearm.

Detectives from the Lake Havasu City Police Department’s Special Investigations Unit, which is part of the Mohave Area General Narcotics Enforcement Team (MAGNET), have been investigating a person selling methamphetamine throughout Lake Havasu City, Arizona.

On June 2, 2022, at 8:10 p.m., the Lake Havasu City Police Department’s Special Investigations Unit and Street Crimes Unit conducted a traffic stop in the area of London Bridge Road and Sea Angler Drive. During the traffic stop, K9 Rocky alerted to the presence of illegal drugs in the vehicle. A search was conducted, and approximately half an ounce of methamphetamine was located. A subsequent search warrant was executed at a storage unit located on London Bridge Road in Lake Havasu City, Arizona. During the search, detectives located just under half a pound of methamphetamine.

The Lake Havasu City Traffic Signal Group announces a traffic signal upgrade is occurring at the intersection of Lake Havasu Ave. and Smoketree Ave. Work is scheduled to occur on Monday, June 6, 2022 through Wednesday, June 8, 2020, subject to weather and other conditions. The work is requiring the intersection of Lake Havasu Ave. and Smoketree Ave. to be in a 4-Way STOP. Motorists are encouraged to find alternate routes, allow themselves extra travel time, and follow all construction signage.

On May 30, 2022, at approximately 6:16 p.m., Lake Havasu City Police Department officers were dispatched to the London Bridge Beach, 1340 McCulloch Boulevard North, to a report of gunshots fired in the area. During the investigation, multiple handgun ammunition casings were found in the upper parking lot, and two vehicles and one building were struck by the shots that were fired. The suspect in this case has been identified as 20-year-old Lake Havasu City resident Andres J. Aguilar. Aguilar’s current whereabouts are unknown. He is considered to be armed and dangerous and should not be approached.
